Everyone loves burgers but eating with PCOS, you need to find creative ways to make comfort food something you can still enjoy without the guilt.
Nutana's Portobello bun tofu burger
Ingredients:
2 Portobello mushrooms
2 Tofu steaks (match the size of the mushrooms)
Yellow Bell Pepper
1/2 ounce Arugula
30g Gouda
Heirloom Tomatoes
2 tsp Pink Salt
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp black pepper
2 tsp chipotle mango seasoning
1/2 tbsp olive oil
Directions:
Julienne Bell Peppers
Pour 1/4 tbsp olive oil to heated pan, add mushroom caps, add 1 tsp pink salt and 1 tsp black pepper.
Rub 1 tsp chipotle mango seasoning, 1/2 tsp cayenne and 1/2 tsp pink salt to each tofu steak.
Heat pan, add 1/4 tbsp olive oil and then tofu steaks
Flip mushroom caps ( If cooked)
Flip tofu steaks once golden brown.
Let Heirloom Tomatoes roast for 3 minutes
Microwave Gouda for 15 seconds
Add 15g of Gouda too each mushroom cap
Add 1/4 oz to each mushroom cap
Add tofu and then peppers and tomatoes to the centre of the burger
Use toothpick to keep in place if necessary.
